An Introduction To Kingdom Economics

An Introduction To Kingdom Economics

This week's blog series is based on the featured video, "Power Over Money." If you haven't seen it in its entirety don't be left out, scroll to the bottom of this blog and see it for yourself.

What is Economics?

“A social science concerned chiefly with description and analysis of the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services.” - Merriam Webster Dictionary

What is Kingdom Economics?

1) Sowing And Reaping

Mark 4:28-29(NKJV) - For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head. But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come."

In God's Kingdom, here's the most fundamental level of Kingdom Economics; you sow, God brings the increase and then you reap.

2) Investing And Trading

Luke 19:12-26(NKJV) - Therefore He said: "A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return. 13 So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come.' 14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a delegation after him, saying, 'We will not have this man to reign over us.' 15 "And so it was that when he returned, having received the kingdom, he then commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. 16 Then came the first, saying, 'Master, your mina has earned ten minas.' 17 And he said to him,'Well done, good servant; because you were faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities.' 18 And the second came, saying, 'Master, your mina has earned five minas.' 19 Likewise he said to him, 'You also be over five cities.' 20 "Then another came, saying, 'Master, here is your mina, which I have kept put away in a handkerchief. 21 For I feared you, because you are an austere man. You collect what you did not deposit, and reap what you did not sow.' 22 And he said to him,'Out of your own mouth I will judge you, you wicked servant. You knew that I was an austere man, collecting what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow. 23 Why then did you not put my money in the bank, that at my coming I might have collected it with interest?' 24 "And he said to those who stood by, 'Take the mina from him, and give it to him who has ten minas.' 25 (But they said to him, 'Master, he has ten minas.') 26 'For I say to you, that to everyone who has will be given; and from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.

God gives everyone something. We don't always start in the same place but we all get to start somewhere. What you do with what God gives you determines whether or not He gives you more. If you do well, He will increase you. If you are unfaithful, what you have will be taken away from you and given to someone else.

It's simple economics. Money moves out of the hands of those who don't handle it right and into the hands of those who do. That's why the rich keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer. The income gap will continue to widen as long as the knowledge gap remains. Until people know better they usually can't do better.

Not enough money? No problem! When Jesus walked the earth, money was never a problem. He had power over money. The same power is available to you.

Power Over Money

John 6:5-7(NLT) - Jesus soon saw a huge crowd of people coming to look for him. Turning to Philip, he asked, "Where can we buy bread to feed all these people?" He was testing Philip, for he already knew what he was going to do. Philip replied, "Even if we worked for months, we wouldn't have enough money to feed them!"

Not enough money? No problem! When Jesus walked the earth, money was never a problem. He had power over money. The same power is available to you.

Wisdom By Association

Proverbs 13:20(KJV) - He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

Ask God For Wisdom

James 1:5-8(KJV) - If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Wisdom In God's Word

Psalm 119:97-105(KJV) - O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day. 98 Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me. 99 I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation. 100 I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts. 101 I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word. 102 I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me. 103 How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! 104 Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way. 105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Waking Up To God's Voice

Isaiah 50:4(KJV) - The Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.

You Can Have The Mind Of Christ

You Can Have The Mind Of Christ

We released our latest video "Supernatural Intelligence" over the weekend. If you have not watched it in its entirety as yet you are missing out. 🙂 This is a continuation from yesterday's message "Answering God's Call".

Philippians 2:5-11(NKJV) - Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

The mind of Christ. What is it? Thankfully, the scripture laid it out for us. It's an attitude of humility and meekness. He knew who He was but humbled Himself in obedience to The Father so much that He, the giver of life, actually accepted death. However, He knew what He was doing because His actions pleased The Father and in the end He was greatly exalted. What would that look like in your own life? Do you strive to exhibit meekness or humility like Christ? If so, you can expect similar results.

Luke 14:8-12 New King James Version (NKJV) 8 “When you are invited by anyone to a wedding feast, do not sit down in the best place, lest one more honorable than you be invited by him; 9 and he who invited you and him come and say to you, ‘Give place to this man,’ and then you begin with shame to take the lowest place. 10 But when you are invited, go and sit down in the lowest place, so that when he who invited you comes he may say to you, ‘Friend, go up higher.’ Then you will have glory in the presence of those who sit at the table with you. 11 For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

This is so counter-intuitive. The person who pushes to the front out of pride will be thrown to the back while the person who stays in the background out of humility is called to the front. I know this is true because I've proved it. I'm not ashamed to say that I've been put in the back after pushing to the front and I've been pushed to the front after choosing the back seat.

If I had to choose, guess which one I would prefer? If you said the latter, you are correct. There's not much worse than the walk of shame after you are relegated. You just wish you walked with your own brown paper bag so that you could cover you head. Only a few people notice you walk to the front but everyone sees when you are asked to get up and go to the back.

1 Corinthians 2:9-16(NKJV) - But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. 16 For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

If you have The Holy Spirit living inside of you then you have access to the mind of Christ. Use it and let The Heavenly Father exalt you!

Answering God's Call

Answering God's Call

We released our latest video "Supernatural Intelligence" over the weekend. If you have not watched it in its entirety as yet you are missing out. 🙂 This is a continuation from yesterday's message "Your Gifts Are For Kingdom Use".

Matthew 22:14(KJV) - For many are called, but few are chosen.

Do you know what The Lord has called you to do? Have you answered His call? If yes, then welcome to the club. If no, then join us. This life is not for everyone. It's not always convenient. It's not always easy. It's not always popular. However, when you know God has called you to do something and you're doing it, just knowing that you're in His Will is very rewarding. Anyway, let's get down to business.

Isaiah 50:4(KJV) - The Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.

I have made it my business to wake up every morning and spend time with The Lord. Every morning He is there waiting for me to meet Him for our usual morning rendezvous. I don't say allot but I open His Word and let Him do the talking. It's during these private sessions with The Lord that I receive supernatural intelligence. Mysteries are revealed. Complex ideas are simplified. Answers are received.

What about you? Do you position yourself to receive supernatural wisdom by spending time with The Lord every morning? I hope you do because life is really hard to figure out on your own. There is so much going on especially in the areas of relationships, finances and time management. Lord knows I need to hear from Him DAILY. I'm sure you need to also.

Psalm 27:8(NLT) - My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “LORD, I am coming.”

Shhhh! Did you hear that? Yeah, I heard it too. That's what God's voice sounds like when He speaks to your heart. He wants to spend some time with you today. Hopefully, the feeling is mutual. Go ahead, meet with Him. He would love that. He has some wisdom for you. He has the answer you've been waiting for. We'll continue tomorrow. I'll leave you two alone now.

Your Gifts Are For Kingdom Use!

Your Gifts Are For Kingdom Use!

Exodus 35:30-35(NKJV) - And Moses said to the children of Israel, “See, the Lord has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; 31 and He has filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom and understanding, in knowledge and all manner of workmanship, 32 to design artistic works, to work in gold and silver and bronze, 33 in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of artistic workmanship. 34 “And He has put in his heart the ability to teach, in him and Aholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. 35 He has filled them with skill to do all manner of work of the engraver and the designer and the tapestry maker, in blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine linen, and of the weaver—those who do every work and those who design artistic works.

As a young man growing up in the ministry my father taught me many valuable lessons, some of which I teach others today. Near the top of the list is the principle that the most valuable resource in any ministry is the people. We have to always remember that without the right people no real progress can be made. As a result I spend more time praying for God to send us the right people than for anything else.

However, even though all people are important at different times there are certain people who need to step up to get certain things done. For instance, in Exodus 35 it was time for The Children of Israel to build the tabernacle. In addition to the offerings of the general community they needed people with specialized skills to do the actual work. Moses asked for skilled volunteers to step up and they did. Bezalel was one of them. If you read carefully what the passage says above you will see something fascinating.

The Spirit of God supernaturally enabled him with artistic and creative skills to do what needed to be done. In other words, God anointed him with supernatural wisdom for a specific purpose but that was not all. Bezalel had a willing heart. Lord, we need some Bezalels right here, right now because there is work to be done. We don't just want those who are unusually talented but those who are willing to help and reproduce themselves by training others. We don't want any more Christian divas. Divas have no place in The Kingdom. It's time to work so let's work.

Only God gets to be a diva because He runs the show. The rest of us need to be His humble servants. For the limited time we have on earth we should just be thankful for the opportunity to serve God with the gifts He gave us. Let Him reward us in His own time. There is so much work to do in God's Kingdom. Find your place and do your part! We're depending on you.

God bless you!

Hungry For Wisdom

Hungry For Wisdom

We released our latest video "Supernatural Intelligence" over the weekend. If you have not watched it in its entirety as yet you are missing out. 🙂 Scroll down and see it for yourself. Yesterday we started this week's message series with "The Spirit of Intelligence". Let's continue building on that today.

1 Kings 3:4-14(NKJV) - Now the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there, for that was the great high place: Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings on that altar. 5 At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, “Ask! What shall I give you?”

6 And Solomon said: “You have shown great mercy to Your servant David my father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You; You have continued this great kindness for him, and You have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. 7 Now, O Lord my God, You have made Your servant king instead of my father David, but I am a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in. 8 And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great people, too numerous to be numbered or counted. 9 Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?”

10 The speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. 11 Then God said to him: “Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice, 12 behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you. 13 And I have also given you what you have not asked: both riches and honor, so that there shall not be anyone like you among the kings all your days. 14 So if you walk in My ways, to keep My statutes and My commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days.”

When Solomon had the choice to ask anything he desired of The Lord, he sought wisdom to lead God's people. It was an unusually selfless request that exposed his true heart. It also moved the heart of God. In response, God gave him everything his heart could possibly desire.

Hungry For Wisdom

What would you do if right now the heavens opened and you heard God's voice booming from the sky saying, "My child, ask me for anything and I'll give it to you?" Would you even think of asking for wisdom or do you already have a detailed list prepared? Maybe if you ask for wisdom He'll also give you what's on that list.

James 1:5-8(NKJV) - If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

Maybe it's just me but lately I have this insatiable hunger for wisdom. I don't just want any wisdom but the wisdom that comes from God only. His wisdom is pure and limitless. Are you tired of struggling to make things happen with your limited understanding? Why be limited to your human capacity when God has made His wisdom available?

God is here and He has opened the door for all of us to ask for wisdom. If you need some today, just ask. He said that He gives it freely so what are you waiting for. Get yours because I am getting mine. I sure do need His wisdom today. Lord, please grant us wisdom. We really need it to fulfill your will on the earth.

Some work much harder!
