Romans 3:3-4 (KJV) - For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? 4God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

I finally did what God said. I dove into the deep end of the pool and decided that it was time to swim. I signed my book contract and sent it to the publisher. Now the delivery of my baby is in the hands of the professionals. I chose to follow the directions of God instead of letting contrasting voices drive me crazy.

I've heard so many conflicting reports within the last few weeks that I had to quit listening to the experts and put my entire focus on the voice of God. The stock market took a nosedive and tried to take my money with it. Thank God I jumped off those favorite stocks of mine instead of jumping off a building.

Here is the message God gave to me when I woke up yesterday morning;

Never assume someone else knows what he/she is doing, always check on him/ her. In the same way, never assume that you know what you are doing, always be willing to learn.

The professional advice I followed for my investments was great and made my portfolio increase by a respectable percentage. However, three weeks ago I received contrasting advice from some even more respected professionals.

I responded immediately the next business day and pulled my money out of those stocks. Well, as fast as my money cleared the account, the stocks came tumbling down and have only been seeing red for weeks. Thank you Jesus!

Anyway, the new set of experts said to invest in real money (gold and silver bullion), oil, natural gas and real estate (residential and commercial). So I made up my mind that I was going to follow this new set of advice.

A few days later the financial headlines said that Warren Buffet, the second richest man in the US predicts a real estate slowdown so be very careful about those investments. At the same time, I watched the oil price dip a little and so did those related stocks.

The only items that increased in value consistently were gold and silver because of the obvious inflation problem in the US. However, these are large, long term investments which means that unless there is a complete economic meltdown I would have to sit on my money for some years before I could expect to make something substantial out of it.

Anyway, there I was ready to pour money into something when God spoke to me clearly. He said to invest in myself. His specific instructions were to take my money and invest it in my gifts and anointing. Stop investing in the gifts of these experts and focus on what is inside of me.

What is it that I can do that no one else on this earth can do like me? What do I have that the world needs? Stop letting it lie dormant while I make other people rich and successful. Invest in Donnell Duncan and not Robert Kiyosaki (Rich Dad, Poor Dad), Donald Trump or Warren Buffett.

They have used their gifts to create powerful empires on this earth for themselves while the rest of us use our resources to support them. He told me that it was time to publish my book, start taking more speaking engagements and expand my ministry beyond the Internet.

My gift will make a way for me. What do you have to say about that? Have you been running around from conference to conference jumping on every new bandwagon trying to find your way to the top? Do you buy every new product thinking that one of these days you'll hit the jackpot?

Are you always trying some new money making scheme? Are you always on some new weight loss program? Are you always joining some new social group? Do you have to get the latest gadget so you can show the world how cutting edge you are? Must you wear the latest style even if it looks like complete rubbish? (for instance; short fat ties! I can't stand them!)

What does God have to say? Maybe He has given you the winning formula but you don't trust it. You probably think that if you use the method created by someone else it will work the same way for you. You feel much more comfortable as a follower and can't handle the pressure of setting trends and being the leader. Well, I can't force you to be what you are not but I can give you the following advice; Let God have the final say!
