I received the following question from Amiae in El Paso, Texas;

I read an article from you about the end times and our President. I can't find it again. My son wanted to read it. How do I find it? Thank you.



Amiae, thanks for the question. I know why you couldn't find the article you were looking for. I hadn't written it yet. I strategically avoided dealing with the issue until this morning because The Lord had not released me yet. Anyway, this morning He placed the answer on my heart and now I'll share with you what He said.


Matthew 24:4-8(MSG) - Jesus said, "Watch out for doomsday deceivers. Many leaders are going to show up with forged identities, claiming, 'I am Christ, the Messiah.' They will deceive a lot of people. When reports come in of wars and rumored wars, keep your head and don't panic. This is routine history; this is no sign of the end. Nation will fight nation and ruler fight ruler, over and over. Famines and earthquakes will occur in various places. This is nothing compared to what is coming.


The world is in complete disarray. As a result, people are confused and are willing to believe anything. When the final US Presidential election results were released, many people in The Church overreacted. One group thinks that The Apocalypse is upon us because the new US president might be The Antichrist. Another group thinks that he is the one sent from God to fix the world's problems and he is a liberator like Moses.

They also believe that when you combine the election results with the current economic collapse, wars in the Middle East, brewing conflicts with Iran and Russia, famines and earthquakes, it must officially be "The Day of The Lord!" Bible Prophets all over the earth have even been extrapolating from scripture conflicting prophecies which point God's people in some strange directions.

Jesus warned us about that. This current global crisis is nothing compared to what is coming. Hence, we all need to calm down and follow the Holy Spirit's directions. The real drama is now getting started and we still have a chance to get ourselves in position. It's bad but it's not over just yet. The media is sensationalizing the state of affairs and the fear that has gripped mankind is fueling even greater collapse.


Where does the US President fit into the end times?

1) He determines the relationship between the US and Israel!

Genesis 12:1-3(NLT) - The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you. I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.”


In an effort to bridge the divide between the US and the Muslim world, the president will be placed in a difficult position. Certain Muslim leaders are clearly against the very existence of the Nation of Israel. Hence, the consistent support for Israel shown by the US will become a sticking point. The US may not be forced to sever ties with them but they will have to re-evaluate their current position.

Bible Prophecy revolves around Jesus Christ and God's chosen people, the Nation of Israel. Hence, your relationship with Jesus and the people of Israel determines where you fit. The US is not the center of focus in the time of the end so it's position in relation to the real focus of prophecy is all that matters. Closely monitor what happens in the next few years. If the US sticks with Israel, the relationship with the "Muslim" world, which happens to own most of the world's oil, will get worse. Something will have to give.

2) He determines the relationship between the US and Russia.

Revelation 17:12-14 (New Living Translation) - The ten horns of the beast are ten kings who have not yet risen to power. They will be appointed to their kingdoms for one brief moment to reign with the beast. They will all agree to give him their power and authority. Together they will go to war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will defeat them because he is Lord of all lords and King of all kings. And his called and chosen and faithful ones will be with him.”


Pay close attention to what's happening in Europe right now. Russia has effectively flexed its muscle and at a moment's notice cut off gas supplies to Eastern Europe. After people suffered in the cold for a few days they decided to resume shipping. Using the dispute with Ukraine as a platform, they have demonstrated that they hold the "cards" in the region. With that kind of move it is slowly positioning itself to become the new European superpower.

The US relationship with Russia is volatile. Since The Cold War there remains a keen sense of distrust and animosity between the two nations. There is a constant jostling for power taking place which the US president will have to deal with. The details of Bible prophecy point toward a major role for the European Union in the time of the end. In fact, most Bible scholars believe that The Antichrist will come from among them.

If Russia does accomplish its goal of becoming the most powerful nation in Europe, guess which leader will push for European Union leadership? In addition, through the former USSR, they have already proven their ability to "gobble up" other nations around them. If the US president maintains a strained relationship with Russia, troubled times are ahead. From the look of things in Daniel 11, nobody wants to mess with the King of the North and his ridiculously large, vicious army.

3) He determines whether or not the US will be a safe haven for Christians.

Matthew 24:9-14(NLT) - “Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers. And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other. And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people. Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come.

Honestly, at this moment the US might not be a Christian nation but it does lean in favor of Christianity. A few policy changes in an effort to even the playing field can dramatically change that. Regardless of how subtle it is, the US president can turn the heat up on The Body of Christ if he really decides to enforce certain clauses of The Constitution. If every religion is equal, then it can be interpreted that none must have an advantage regardless of the rights to freedom of speech, expression, etc. You will be surprised at how "slick" politicians can be.

The current US president is in a difficult position. He is supposed to be a Christian man but he is the ruler of a nation with many religions. This issue will become hot in a little while. At this early stage of the administration, the economic downturn and foreign relations must be the priority. Don't "sleep" on this one because there are loopholes which can be used to enable the FCC to "crack down" on "controversial" Christian programming. Do some research on the "religious freedom" in China and you will realize how easily Governmental control of religion can turn into intense persecution.

4) He determines whether or not the US will remain a global economic powerhouse.

Revelation 2:2-8(NLT) - He gave a mighty shout: “Babylon is fallen—that great city is fallen! She has become a home for demons. She is a hideout for every foul spirit, a hideout for every foul vulture and every foul and dreadful animal. For all the nations have fallen because of the wine of her passionate immorality. The kings of the world have committed adultery with her. Because of her desires for extravagant luxury, the merchants of the world have grown rich.” Then I heard another voice calling from heaven, “Come away from her, my people. Do not take part in her sins, or you will be punished with her. For her sins are piled as high as heaven, and God remembers her evil deeds. Do to her as she has done to others. Double her penalty for all her evil deeds. She brewed a cup of terror for others, so brew twice as much for her. She glorified herself and lived in luxury, so match it now with torment and sorrow. She boasted in her heart,
‘I am queen on my throne. I am no helpless widow, and I have no reason to mourn.’ Therefore, these plagues will overtake her in a single day— death and mourning and famine. She will be completely consumed by fire,
for the Lord God who judges her is mighty.”


Babylon is a system that will control the world's wealth. One wrong move with this current economic crisis and the US is "screwed." The bailout is definitely a great idea to jump-start the economy. However, is the economic system that controls the world just in need of a little push or is it completely flawed? If you jump-start a car that has a good battery, it will be able to run on its own from that point. However, if it has a bad battery, you will need to jump-start it again and again. Eventually, it won't be able to "jump" anymore and you will need to replace it or catch the bus. Hence, there will be a positive impact from the bailouts for a short while but if the system is the real problem everything will eventually collapse.


Genesis 47:13-22(NLT) - Meanwhile, the famine became so severe that all the food was used up, and people were starving throughout the lands of Egypt and Canaan. By selling grain to the people, Joseph eventually collected all the money in Egypt and Canaan, and he put the money in Pharaoh’s treasury. When the people of Egypt and Canaan ran out of money, all the Egyptians came to Joseph. “Our money is gone!” they cried. “But please give us food, or we will die before your very eyes!” Joseph replied, “Since your money is gone, bring me your livestock. I will give you food in exchange for your livestock.” So they brought their livestock to Joseph in exchange for food. In exchange for their horses, flocks of sheep and goats, herds of cattle, and donkeys, Joseph provided them with food for another year. But that year ended, and the next year they came again and said, “We cannot hide the truth from you, my lord. Our money is gone, and all our livestock and cattle are yours. We have nothing left to give but our bodies and our land. Why should we die before your very eyes? Buy us and our land in exchange for food; we offer our land and ourselves as slaves for Pharaoh. Just give us grain so we may live and not die, and so the land does not become empty and desolate.” So Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh. All the Egyptians sold him their fields because the famine was so severe, and soon all the land belonged to Pharaoh. As for the people, he made them all slaves, from one end of Egypt to the other. The only land he did not buy was the land belonging to the priests. They received an allotment of food directly from Pharaoh, so they didn’t need to sell their land.


During a global economic collapse, Joseph made Pharaoh the most powerful man on earth. He was not a trained economist or financial scholar but a man who heard from God. The President of the US needs someone he can trust who hears clearly from God. The answer to this economic dilemma comes from God only. The rest of the "Economic Dream Team" is only necessary to fine tune the details and execute the God-given plan. Everyone at the top has great ideas but nobody really knows what to do.

Smart people can jump-start an economy but only God can change a completely flawed system. One of these days, people will wake up to this reality and will get on their knees in humility before God. Until then, nothing will really improve. In fact, now is the time for the people who do hear from God to start implementing the plan He's given to them. We might not be able to save the whole world but just like Noah, we can build a boat that will save our families.


5) He determines the morale of the people in this country.

Proverbs 29:2(NLT) - When the godly are in authority, the people rejoice. But when the wicked are in power, they groan.

Godliness is a choice. I can be Godly today and wicked tomorrow if I choose to. Hence, the US President is inherently neither Godly nor wicked. It is his choice. Every day when he wakes up, he has to decide whether or not he will obey God or follow the advice of smart people. Whatever he decides directly affects the people of this country. He might not be "all powerful" but he can make things really hard for you if he chooses to be wicked. In other words, if wickedness enters The White House, The Great Depression is on its way back into the US.

6) God will easily change or forcefully break his heart on key issues.

Proverbs 21:1(NLT) - The king’s heart is like a stream of water directed by the Lord; he guides it wherever he pleases.

1 Timothy 2:1-5(NLT) - I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus.

People in The Church who completely give up and throw their hands in the air whenever an election is over need to remember Proverbs 21:1 and 1 Timothy 2:1-2. It's never over! If The Church gives up on the President of The US and he flops it is our fault. We did not obey God's Word and when we start pointing fingers at one man, the other four fingers will be pointed at millions of us. If that happens, he won't fail us, we will fail him. If he needs to change, then we need to pray. We will stop praying when Jesus Christ returns to earth and sets up His Kingdom. When we give up, this nation loses. We can't blame anyone else.


7) If he obeys the prophets of God, prosperity will return to The US.

2 Chronicles 20:20(NLT) - Early the next morning the army of Judah went out into the wilderness of Tekoa. On the way Jehoshaphat stopped and said, “Listen to me, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Believe in the Lord your God, and you will be able to stand firm. Believe in his prophets, and you will succeed.”

Right now, thousands of people will see this article. A few quick "forwards" and that number will exponentially grow. This nation is full of prophets so don't tell me that nobody can get a word from The Lord in to The President. He will get an opportunity to believe what God is saying to him and however he responds will change the course of history of this country. We can't force anyone to change but we can change our attitude to anyone. Pray for President Barack Obama! Give God a chance to touch his heart because if he falls flat on his face while he is in power, this country is going down with him.
