You have spare time? 🙂 Your priority is to study and get all of your work done for school. If you have it all done and still have spare time, I don’t see a problem with you playing video games.

J., thanks for writing. I’m very sorry about your situation. I’ll keep my opinion to a minimum because this is a very hot issue. However, I’ll give you the scripture that I use to guide my decisions in that type of situation, Matthew 5:31-32. Jesus accepted one reason for divorce; adultery.

      Matthew 5:31-32
      New Living Translation (NLT)
      Teaching about Divorce

31 “You have heard the law that says, ‘A man can divorce his wife by merely giving her a written notice of divorce.’ 32 But I say that a man who divorces his wife, unless she has been unfaithful, causes her to commit adultery. And anyone who marries a divorced woman also commits adultery.

I was watching a science programme on cable, and they said that man was made out of the atoms in the universe. I know that I read in the Bible that man was formed out of the dust of the earth, therefore “from dust we came and to dust we shall return”. Now are we really made up of atoms, I believe in the Bible, no question in that, but I know that you said that the Bible talks about science. Thanks.

Claudia, both are correct. Here’s the definition of the word “atom” in the Merriam Webster Dictionary, ” the smallest particle of an element that can exist either alone or in combination.” Also, here’s their definition of the word “dust”; “fine particles of matter (as of earth).”

Atomic particles are the building blocks of all other particles. Even dust particles are made up of atoms. In other words, you can divide a dust particle up into atoms.

Hey, I’m a Trini student at Morehouse College, studying Applied Physics and I’m considering studying Civil Engineering at Columbia or GA Tech. I just happened to stumble upon your bio and realised you were in the same program I’m in now. So I just wanted to find out if you had any advice and tips to offer, seeing that you went through the process already. I would really appreciate it.

Advice.. hmm. There’s allot I can say. I guess I’ll tell you what really matters the most. I learned some of these early and others really late.

      1) Make your relationship with God your #1 priority. Find a good church and a few good Christian friends who are also studious. Don’t play games with that. Only God can give you the success you desire.

      2) Pay attention in class, ask questions, do assignments as soon as they are given so you can ask your professors for help and study for exams way in advance for the same reason. If you live in the zone of “last minute” you are taking chances with your future.

I’ll shoot you an email with the rest.

Hey Donnell. Really good job you’re doing here! Lemme ask though, how exactly do we put on Christ?? Also, how dow we put on His armour? Is it the same thing?

      Good questions Ronnel.

To put on Christ is a figure of speech. I’ll give you two ways you can look at it.

      1) Be Covered By Christ

Galatians 3:26-27(KJV) – For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Romans 4:6-8(KJV) – Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

When you became saved an exchange took place. When Jesus was on the cross He put on your sin and received your punishment for it. When you got saved according to Romans 10:9&10 you put on His righteousness and received His reward for it. Now when The Father sees you He sees Jesus. So when you put on the righteousness of Christ by faith, in the spirit realm, you look just like Christ.

      2) Put On The Character of Christ

Romans 13:13-14(KJV) – Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Acts 11:26(KJV) – And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

When you act like Christ you put on Christ. That’s where the term Christian came from. In Acts 11:26 the people in the early church acted so much like Christ that people didn’t see them anymore they saw little versions of Christ. Hence, they started calling them Christians. If you put on the character of Christ the same will be said of you.

Now for your next question on the armor of God.

      Ephesians 6:11-18(KJV) – Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Pay close attention to every aspect of the armor; truth, righteousness, gospel of peace, faith, salvation, The Word of God and prayer in The Spirit. John 17:17 says The Word of God is truth. Romans 5 explains how the righteousness of God works. I summarized it when I explained the term “put on Christ.”

2 Timothy 3:15 says salvation is through faith and Isaiah 26:3 says that if you keep your mind stayed on The Lord He will give you perfect peace. Hebrews 11 shows you the kind of miracles that are only possible through faith. If you look at how Jesus used The Word of God in Matthew 4 you will see how it’s an offensive weapon against the enemy. Hebrews 4:12 explains how The Word of God is a sword. Lastly, 1 Corinthians 14 explains the power of praying in The Spirit.

In sum, you put on the armor of God everyday by putting His word in your heart and mind, standing in the righteousness of Christ, walking by faith, declaring God’s Word over your life and praying in The Spirit.

    Hello Mr. Donnell,

Recently, I was in a rather heated discussion on facebook, concerning the subject of athisem. One of my facebook friends posted something derogatory concerning religions, so I pointed out to her that athiesm was also a religion. 80 comments later, I was still in the discussion, she concluded by saying “atheism has no moral code or doctrine of manifest, you can be atheist and believe or do ANYTHING ELSE. Not all atheists believe in evolution, not all atheists celebrate christmas, or ramadan..”. Can you please further elaborate on why athiesm can be considered a religion?

I have been a christian all my life but just this year the reality of life got a hold to me and i realized our soul would end up in one of two places heaven or hell. I really think about this i decided to change my life in every way so that i can be accepted by God and make it to heaven. Things have been going good with me but recently my mind has been falling back and sometimes out of no where sexual stuff enters my mind and it also happens when i start to worship God and as a result of this happening i just can’t continue worshiping and it frustrates me a lot. I pray about it and it goes for a while and then come back again and sometimes does not go. I would like to know how can i be free of this burden? So that i can worship God in spirit and in truth.

Hey Donnell. Based on your latest video about Islam being the imposed world religion, what is the Vatican’s role in all of this?

Ronnel, I believe the imposed world religion may not necessarily be Islam in its purest form but it will include elements of it. Since it’s a world religion it may have to be a new religion that has mass appeal. Therefore, it may also include elements of Roman Catholicism and New Age religions.

We spend so much of our time focusing on The Vatican over the years even though Roman Catholicism is decreasing all over the world. At the same time we ignore Islam which is growing stronger and stronger. Obviously we might be looking in the wrong direction. The Bible makes many end time references to nations which currently are Islamic.

Last, but not least, the capital of the Roman Empire was once Constantinople which is now Istanbul, Turkey. Guess which religion dominates in Turkey? I’ll give you a clue.. it’s not Roman Catholicism.

could you explain the difference between being “spiritual” and being “supersitious”?? i think most people who have limited or even a tainted perception of what being spiritual entails tend to think theology is nothing more than wishful thinking accented with the stamp of “God ” on it . are these to beliefs the same, hybrids of eachother, similiar or completely different like apples and oranges ??

question is about the creative process God implemented when He created Adam/Eve .. one thing has insanlely intrigued me specifically about Adam . when God formed the man from the dust of the earth and breathed into him the breath of life, scripture says God “put ” the man into the garden to tend , cultivate, etc .. so by implication does this men Adam(or essentially the male) was created outside Eden and from what area of Earth was he transferred from ?? Eve was taken out of Adam but he was already in the garden at this time , so it would seemingly so be that both of these humans were of the same material but created in two different locations .. why not create them both in the same place? then after sin they were both expelled from the garden so can we conclude that they were banished back into the place from whence Adam was built ??

Hi Donnell, I have been baptised a little while now and I recently attended a wedding of a friend (non-Christians). the music was of course non-christian. I danced and enjoyed the wedding and while I was not indecent, i was concerned whether or not i was sending the wrong message by dancing to non Christian music. Please advise.

Hello- two questions, many Christians debate once saved always saved- Do you believe this? I read my bible and I know what the scrptures say- but the interpretation of the scriptures usually are debated as well. Also we will receive rewards in Heaven according to our deeds done on earth correct? So we can lose our reward and still receive salvation or recive a partial reward as well?

    Hi Donnell,

I need your advice on how to go about studying for the GRE, and really how to pass this exam. I will be sitting it on the 29th of this month and I have put into practice, reading my Bible before I study, but I have trouble motivating myself to study. I have asked God to help me to focus and to show me exactly how to study for the test, but I feel like I could be doing more. I know you had a website that gave students advice on studying, I though it was this one but, I cannot find the information. I would greatly appreciate any help that you can give me. I would really need to be successful on this exam, so that my applications have a competitive advantage.

By the way I’m from Trinidad and DDWC is my home church. I currently live in Alabama having just graduated from Tuskegee University. My mother is Hilde Julien and my step-dad is Ernest Julien.

    Thank you.

      Hi Stacey,

Thanks for stopping by. Hmmm, a website dedicated to giving students advice on studying. That’s a great idea. I guess I should start one. 🙂 Seriously though, I think you might be talking about Faith Science. Scroll to the top of this page and click the link. When you get there enter Faith Science Online and find the link for the blog. When you enter the blog, the first thing you will see is a video called “Unusual Intelligence”.

Anyway, you probably need a change of environment and a study guide. I taught Kaplan GRE classes for several years in Atlanta so I know that there are strategies which can help you succeed. For a change of environment go to a library or a Starbucks where other people are studying so they will motivate you. For the study guide, check here; http://www.ets.org/gre/revised_general/prepare/tips/ and http://www.sparknotes.com/testprep/books/gre/chapter0section3.rhtml

For Supernatural Intelligence, watch the video from the blog on my other website, http://www.FaithScienceOnline.Com and join that mailing list so you can be down with the nerds. 😉

I purchased the ETS GRE book and that is what I have been using to study so far, I guess I’m just anxious because I feel like I’m running out of time. I will utilise all that you have given me today. Once again thank you so much.

    Hi Donnell,

My boyfriend and I have been dating for almost 4 years now, and we are planning on getting married next year. However, we cannot seem to agree on whose church we will attend once we’re actually married. I heard that couples should attend the same church once they are married and that the tradition is that they go to the man’s church. But! I do not want his church to be the only church that I fellowship at since I do not receive as much as I do from my home church. However, I have no problem with us joining a new church together but his mind is set on not leaving his current church. We are both comfortable with his church being our home church and attending my church as often as well. That way we both get what we want. So is that okay/allowed.? (A lot of people say that it isn’t.) Or should we hold back on the wedding plans before we are able to agree on one church?

Is it ok to get married to a guy who has been divorced? He has divorced due to unfaithfulness of his wife? He had tried to make it work but his ex-wife was unwilling, she has someone else now & has a child with this new guy. He has kids also. I have never been married or have any kids? Your advise & opinion!

Alicia, that’s a huge question. I’ll tell you this. I don’t know anything about your situation other than what you said so I’m not going to make assumptions. Everyone has an opinion on this issue so I choose to defer to Jesus. His words in Matthew 5:31-32 apply directly to the situation you are referring to.

Matthew 5:31-32(NLT) – “You have heard the law that says, ‘A man can divorce his wife by merely giving her a written notice of divorce.’ 32 But I say that a man who divorces his wife, unless she has been unfaithful, causes her to commit adultery. And anyone who marries a divorced woman also commits adultery.

If his ex-wife was unfaithful then according to this scripture, divorce was an option. It was not the first or only option but since she wanted to leave for another man he had no choice. That marriage is both legally and spiritually over. If he was legitimately divorced by the standard of The Bible I cannot say that he cannot remarry.

Nonetheless, before you run off and marry him, think through this before you get caught in a bad situation. There’s much more involved in the process. Is he over his ex-wife and is his heart completely healed from her betrayal? If not, you don’t want to get married to him just yet. He needs time to heal. If he is, then you don’t have to worry about that.

However, you’re now entering a situation with children. Are these children from his previous marriage? If so, his ex-wife is going nowhere. She will most likely be an active part of the children’s lives. Therefore, are you prepared to participate in the awkwardness of that kind of arrangement?

Additionally, what about the children themselves? How old are they? Do you get along with them? If they completely love you, then you have it much easier than most. However, that’s not always the case. Are you ready to be completely rejected by them? If you’re not sure what you’re getting into you might want to look into that because these kids may completely side with their mother and hate your guts.

Anyway, those are just some random questions you should ask yourself based on the information you provided. There may be a whole lot more but that’s on you to find out. You never marry out of emotion. Why? Emotions change and sometimes they change suddenly. Even if your heart is all wrapped up in him today it can be unwrapped tomorrow. You need a Word from The Lord. Ask God if this is the man for you. He’ll keep it real. If it’s yes, He’ll confirm it through someone else who hears from God like your pastor. Ask him!

Proverbs 11:14(KJV) – Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.

You always need confirmation from a seasoned, wise Christian leader when you’re dealing with a situation that involves extreme emotion. It’s easy for your heart to cloud your ability to hear from God. You can’t really trust your heart in a situation like this unless it’s well-trained to always defer to God’s Word. I don’t have enough information to draw any conclusions but you should provide sufficient details to the seasoned Godly leader you seek for counsel.

I know exactly what u are saying with the counsel and a confirmation from God before i make such a life changing step. The guy & me is very similar & hold alot of the same views when it comes to family & stuff. He is that strong & ambitious type that cheers me on to achieve more in terms of career & family.I have met the kids & it is ok so far.

However, pertaining to me, my parents were divorced my father being the one at fault. He has children with multiple persons, so that i have two sets of brothers & sisters. I had to deal with alot of the complications that comes with this. Especially being the eldest but by the Grace of God all the kids & my step-moms have come to be quite ok. Alot due to my surrendering to God, He has teached me about forgiveness & other important values.I have know him for a year. He knows about my past & i his also.

I somehow get the feeling that He was preparing me for Him, He is a christian but not as strong as i am. I feel that i have to assist him here. As u say emotions can fade, so i am definitely not going to rush into anything.

Thanks alot, that was very helpful, continue to do God’s work & may He richly bless you.

    Hi Donnell,

I just finished reading ” Initiating Conversations with God” and I was wondering how, does one achieve the ability to speak in tongues, I recently got baptised again and recommitted my life to Christ, but I have not been able to speak in tongues and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. I have tried tarrying before the Lord, but with no results; (I might add that I was not at all familiar with the notion of tarrying at all, but I go to a very traditional Apostolic Church here in Alabama. It completely weirded me out because they insisted that I tarried in their presence till I received the Holy Spirit). Is it something that comes in time or should be an immediate thing? Does it have to with the condition of my heart, as I still struggle with the things of this world, but I am a work in progress, but I truly do desire to have a real relationship with GOD. Also, is it a bad thing if I do not pray first thing in the morning? I have to be at work for 6:30am, I find it difficult sometimes to wake up to pray, but I make sure to do it in the evenings, could this be affecting me???

I was just reading the discussion topics in gospel.com, and I was amazed to see that there is a current feeling among brethren that the tithes to God is no longer relevant. The Apostles, you and Bible instructions have reinforced that this giving is mandatory. So what is the big move or change in the society that is now bringing on this feeling? Claudia

Yes. I am reading the response, and there is a real level of understanding I am getting. I have always read the line that he is a priest after the order of Melchizedek, but I just said that the Bible said so, (I leave it at that). But you have explained it . Can we say that it ts a link to what we call eternal life, and is all part of the package that comes with salvation? It is interesting and puts an excitement about understanding this in me.

    Hi Donnell,

can you explain this expression for me please? “many are called/invited but few are chosen” Matthew 22:14… how do i know if i’m called or chosen? what is the difference? many pastors talk or preach about answering the “call” but i can’t remember ever hearing anyone talk/preach about the difference between “called and chosen”.

Kathrina, this explains the anointing in detail; http://thecrackeddoor.com/Main/?p=2474

The Anointing is The Holy Spirit resting upon you. As you can see anyone can receive The Anointing. On the other hand, what you’re anointed to do is unique to you.

Good Morning Donnell! I just read todays article about true repentance and I just wanted to know if these same steps should be used in human to human interactions. My main issue is dealing with people that are repeat offenders (family members). Do I use the same steps and if they show no sign of true repentance, leave them alone? Or do I continue to forgive and expect to be hurt again?

      Shantel, great question.

      Here’s the scripture;

Luke 17:1-4(NKJV) – Then He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come! 2 It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. 3 Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. 4 And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”

The standard of repentance for God is higher than for us because He can see a person’s heart. You can’t see a person’s heart so you have no choice but to forgive. Forgiveness is always for past sins. After you’ve been done wrong you have a right to change the nature of a relationship to protect yourself from future indiscretions. You don’t have to let someone continue to hurt you in the future. That’s not what forgiveness is about. Release people from what they’ve already done then create boundaries around your life.

How do I find keep and maintain balance? I do it for my children but I find it difficult to do it for myself I get it sometimes but it keeps escaping me. I make time too be with god and actually that’s what keeps me, but with personal assighments. I find myself lagging.I do alot of introspection and I grade myself the hardest. I know what failure is! and I just can’t experience it again. I am secure in god but some how I fell like am playing the “give and hold back” with god. At this place or this season in my life it’s the hardest dig’ and the deepest depth I have ever had too dig and IT! just makes me cry! THE BALANCE.

Hi Donnell at the cracked door conference held at DDWC at the beginning of the year you were talking about living purpose. How do I know if the ministries that I am serving in church are really God’s purpose for my life or if I am doing it just because I like them and need to serve in ministries?

Katrina, that’s a great question. You have to start somewhere. Serve where you can while you continue to seek God for where you should fit. Take the steps you learned during the last two nights of the conference to help you through the process.

Donnell, Good morning. I am reading now the book of 1st and 2nd Kings, and reference is made to the putting up of asherah poles in Isreal, in pagan worship. I checked to know what really is a asherah pole, I found out, but I also saw an article that says that it is again becoming popular in clubs and other nightspots in America. Young people are rubbing them for good luck, and giving offering to it. Will this new trend be because of a ‘lack of knowledge’, or is there a rise in atheist beliefs out of a denial of the existence of God? Have a good day.

    hi Donnell,

this may be a little long however I want to be honest……. these past few months I have been loose in my Christian walk, not that I don’t know better but some how it overwhelms me and I just give in to as we know it “a life of sin!”. I want to be better, do better, live a life that is pleasing and acceptable to GOD but I cant understand why do I always go back to my vomit… why do I experience GOD’s presence and goodness and still walk away and head in the direction of destruction? why is it so easy for me to walk away? the truth is when I am obedient to GOD I am at my happiest, there is a joy that I cant explain but I still give up and give in and then there is a depression and emptiness within me. I know its only GOD can fill me but i still go off course. i still risk it all just to please the flesh. i have been watching the gospel channels on cable and one really strike out to me when i heard someone in the movie literally said my name and tears came to my eyes. i don’t want to continue to go through emotions but i want real and lasting change. all the messages coming to be via the movies is “death to self”…… i don’t quite understand what that mean or the requirement(s) in such…. what it really mean by “death to self”????

    thanks for listening…..

Hi Donnell 🙂 I fell in love with your writings when I read the article about hearing God’s voice 🙂

I finally receive Jesus into my life about a week ago (I was born a catholic, but then decided to be an atheist-agnostic around two years ago)

There are some questions that I want to ask….

    1. My friend told me that there are six types of calling; is it true? And, she said that everyone has their own calling; how to find out mine?

    2. I really wanted to hear His voice, am I allowed to pray for it every day?

    3. What should I feel when I pray? 😐 I was told that I should be able to feel God’s presence..?

    4. I don’t know why, but I always get scared when I heard people speaking in tongues 😐

Sorry if it sounds silly >< I'd love to hear from you! Thanks! 😀

    Hi Donnell and Angel Duncan,
I have a few questions (first half me and the other half need help with a friend),

I gave up a few of my friends for a bit but I was kind of testing them. Well not do this again thou, anyway now I feel like I am in a kind of Job period. You can be around people but at the same time you feel alone.

    1. What is the will of GOD, concerning friends?

    2. a) What is the will GOD, concerning relationship.
    b) when do you know you are ready (was it books, work then relationship)
    c) when did you realise Angel was a good person to get to know more (vice-verse)? (Ps: you donot have to answer this one, if you donot wish to)

( There was one or two that look interest but I blank all. I donot even try to have good friendships, other than church activities just hi, hello, bye. Usually run away. What questions should you ask yourself and others? )

Also this is not about me,

My friend Skype what is on your mind profile started to worry me. Why I am a little concerned because another friend killed himself. So I am taking each profile as serious. She is studying (robotics and space shuttle design) in another country so I am not in face to face contact with her, only via Skype.
How can she get help? Never asked her if she needs help, thou.

    She has quotes like:

My biggest fear is that eventually you will see me the way I see myself.

From the first moment I laid my eyes upon you, I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life avoiding you.

Skip a few, now it is

There are so many things that I don’t understand, There’s a world within me that I cannot explain, with many rooms to explore But the doors look the same, where are the locks to try the key, I am lost I don’t even know who I am.

    My apologies (so many question),
Thanks in advance and GOD bless you guys,
    Keep pressing forward.

    Blasheming against the Holy Spirit

    Hi Donnell,
Blaspheming against the Holy Spirit is something that I have not understood and anytime i come across it I ask God for an explanation.
Now hear this. I was at my computer taking in a sermon from you tube and the preacher in his message ( not titled about the Holy Spirit) gave this explanantion, in connection to Matthew 12 :31and 33. And I quote:
God has already promised you somethings, but you can talk against the promises of God and lose that promise on the earth. You can say things like ” You know it look like I’ll never get out of debt” What God has promised you is that you will be the lender. So when you say something that is an idle word, that is against what God has promised, you have blasphemed the Holy Ghost. And when you blaspheme Him you will not be let off in the earth and you will lose that reward in heaven”.

Those are strong words Donnell. So someone can lose their healing, financial deliverance, and how much more so simply?
Oh gosh Donnell there are no words I can use do describe how i feel when i hear that. ( bite up- mash up- guilty- all kinda ting!)
Help a sister out here- can you confirm this? is this so?

    Thanks
    Roshawn

Hi Donnell what is iniquity? in exodus 20:5 God spoke about visiting iniquity of fathers third and fourth generations then he said in Num23:21 that he did not see any in Jacob he wiped his slate clean! then he spoke about it in Job 4 those who plow iniquity shall reap it. Is it curse! is it habitually sinning without repentance? Is it sin that we try to cover up? David, Bathesheba Nathan exposing him kind of scenario…. looking forward to your response

Living among sin but not being part of it.

    Good night Donnell and Angel.
You are influenced and become what you see, hear and surround yourself with. Removing yourself from people, places and situations is possible but what if you cannot. I live where obscenity is a norm in my house. I too was part of it. Now i am saved I try my best not to use it- but its in the house. When upset it may not come out my mouth but i say it in my mind and finally when i get really mad it out my mouth. What can I do to rid myself of it?

It doesn’t matter what’s going on in your house you have to take care of your own future by doing your school work to the best of your ability. Let’s pray that The Lord will bring peace in your house. Until He answers our prayer, keep focused on what you have to do.

Hi Donnell,I would like to hear your views or wisdom on this. Ever so often I would dream about my feet, either I can’t find my shoe or slippers or I am walking and I am bare feet. Always with my feet. In reality I would always have an issue with my feet either I don’t have on comfortable shoes and can’t go or do what I should do. I figured my progress and success is in my feet, I am an Insurance Agent and you know you have to be on the go to find people all the time to maintain and have an income because it is by commissions we are paid . I figured the enemy wants to stop my progress. But as long as God is seated on the throne I declare it would not happen. . No new people no pay! So I have been watching this for sometime and thought the enemy wants me to fall down. In the past I use to fall down all the time and took it for granted I hadn’t fall for a while and I fell down twice a month or two ago and said I am not taking this lightly . The last fall was mind blowing : I was standing waiting for something i am buying and as soon as I got it and took out one of the pastries to take a bit I fell backwards without any indication or warning I was overwhelmed because I was cautious all day to watch my step and bam I fell backwards. I was not expecting it so it’s as if I got ambushed. But thank God I didn’t got injured just my left elbow a bit woozy but I am o k praise the Lord. But it was just so strange and bothered me so I had to tell my Apostle. This to me is not natural. What do you think? And success seem to be so tarrying but I am not giving up!

Hi I am a teenager from Trinidad and I am a covenantor at D.D.W.C. I just read your blog on being kind; and after reading the meditation scripture (Luke 6:27-36) I understand what it instrusts me to do except one thing. Sadly, I was confused when it addressed to do good to those who hate me and to bless those curse me. The reason i was confused is because if the one who hates me does evil to me; such as cursing me or any other evil action should I repay the person with good? While in Proverbs 17 it talks about whoever rewards evil for good the it will not leave my house. What should i do?

I am new to your site but I share many of your thoughts and beliefs. I too believe that prayer can defeat death. Have you done it at all? I have been praying for my husband to come back. Do you have any prayers or advice on this? Many people do not believe me and I do not have any guidance.

    Hi Donnell,

my apostle preached a message today about re-postioning; taking time to go back to the potter’s wheel etc. basically re-aligning with God. I believe I am at this stage where I recognize that I need a realignment… I feel distant… like I’m so close yet really far away. I need to hear from God about some things in my life some decisions I have made and some I need to make, I need some very clear directions. I heard of going before God when you have answers like this… I also heard of some ppl spending weeks or months before God. My question is: very practically… what does mean? How do I “go before God”.

Hi Donnelll, blessings to you and your Angel. I wrote to you yesterday but not sure if I sent it. But I would like your take on this……a few weeks ago as I came inside after picking up my clothes on the line and came inside … I got or heard ….perfect love casteth out all fear? I knew what it meant to me ,I did not pick up my x clothes I would do it before but I say he is sure I would do it and he does not check for days and he feels I should. I am divorce just to pick up my absolute nissi. And so this word has me going deep. I ask the Lord wherever i am and go all demons must flee.! In Jesus name. Is it what I ask for that I must face this man and do the needful? And I got the other day in my spirit …he is coming to give money for my daughter but he wants you to take it in your hands don’t as if to hurt me … He did came and insist for me to take it I said rest it down there and he setups and went …..so I know this was true evil was on his mind. All I can see in him is evil eyes towards me , then how must I engage him is my prayer (demon of a man).

Charlene, this is the scripture you’re referring to:

1 John 4:18(NKJV) – There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

One thing you need to know is that God’s Love is the only love that’s perfect. As a result, you have to be assured of God’s Love for you if you want to live a life free from the bondage of fear. Until you are assured of His Love you will continue to be afraid of those who mean evil toward you. You must first receive God’s Love for you before you can love someone else the way God expects you too. That also includes those who don’t love you back.

Hi Donnell, blessings in the name of Jesus. Thank you for your time and information of my dreams etc. God really has big plans for you!
I had a dream which was very interesting, I was driving, someone was in the back seat not sure who but as if the car was going fast and I am thinking or hoping it has brakes. So I mashed down on the brakes and the car was going still but not as fast as before, was a safe speed. But when to go further there was a big procession of horses and men on their backs that I had to stop and go on the side I was trying to go ahead but the road was filled with these horses in procession as if the gov’t had something to do with the whole thing. So I had to wait on the side. The horses were dark in colour I think the men had on blue?

Hi Donnelll,Happy Anniversary to you and your Angel firstly. Blessings and peace to you both in Jesus name ..I admire you as a young man with a lot of potential and a pleaser of The great Almighty God…..first I told you my dream waiting for response and you ask me what is God speaking to me lately? I am all in smiles…….you too with God has a sense of humour….ha ha….well ..I feel in my spirit I need to overcome some little fears (like elevators) by putting my trust in Him totally and know that ..either way with God you can’t lose! This was a revelation He gave me while I was speaking to a lady in hospital a few years ago. I was led to her bedside at the mt hope hospital she was lying there in a bed on wheels , she had some beautiful blue eyes ,I was led to her and these words came out from me to her…she said such beautiful words, thank you.Learning afterwards she had cancer! So these words stayed with me as an anchor. I am in a next place same insurance job different company Pan American life..so the place has elevators and steps after going up those steps I said lord I know what I have to do.. After those steps my legs were shaking. So it’s a trusting in him to all. Please pray for my daughter she is 27 yrs beautiful working and studying for her degree but very depressed and self condemning ..says she wants to die nothing goes good etc. very negative….Name Reisha..thanks .

Thanks for the anniversary greetings. We receive it. Now concerning what God’s been saying to you. There you have it. He wants you to trust Him.

Proverbs 3:5-6(KJV) -Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

The easiest way for The Lord to speak to you is through your spirit man. The Holy Spirit living inside of you will direct you.

Isaiah 30:21(KJV) – And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

Whatever you hear Him say should be verifiable by The Word of God. Another level of communication He uses is dreams and visions. These are especially effective when nothing else is getting your attention. Now, if you already know what He is saying to you through your spirit and supported by The Word of God, just obey that.

Hi Donnell, greetings to you in Jesus name . My son came to me asking me , if I knew anybody other than Jesus raised from the dead. I said no. Then he quoted ..Matthew NiIV 27:51-53….At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to Bolton. The earth shook and the rocks split. The tombs broke open and the bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. Is this the resurrection was spoken about.? Could you give some clarity. Thank you God bless you

Good morning Pastor Donnell. The question I have is for you and Pastor Angel. It’s a sensitive topic which has been present in my mind for a great deal of time. In what way is the Church of Chirst to deal and treat with homosexuality in the church? To be more specific, if there may be an individual or individuals struggling and battling with homosexuality in the church, and he/she knows it is wrong but can’t shake off that spirit, how should a pastor or any one in particular support and help heal that person? Also, what do you recommend if he or she is afraid to ask for help?

Hi Donnell, how are you going? I was happy to see you and your Angel at DDWC . I looked at you and saw growth as a young man stepping out to be that man whom God called you to be.
So my question or your take on this: What or how is it viewed when a man and a woman cannot have children take it upon themselves to get the job done? By having their egg and sperm fertilized outside of the woman’s womb or body then placed back in the womb! What is your take on this from a biblical perspective? To me this is doing God’s work, then a next question…Is God’s spirit in this child? God bless you.

Good morning Pastor Donnell, I was reading Mark 13 where Jesus taught his disciples of what will take place in the last days and one particular scripture jumped out at me that I don’t quite yet understand. It is Mark 13:31, “Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.” Mark‬ ‭13:28-31‬ ‭NLT‬‬
This was after Jesus told them in verses 26 &27 of Mark 13 “Then everyone will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds with great power and glory. And he will send out his angels to gather his chosen ones from all over the world —from the farthest ends of the earth and heaven” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭13:26-27‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I am unclear on if it is means after Jesus comes heaven or earth will disappear as from those who are left behind, can you please help clear this up for me?

Donnell, you spoke to us at the coffee shop conversations in Trinidad, (can’t remember the date). that God speaks to us through nature. As I watched the blood moon tonight, your message came back to me. God alone can create such splendour. it is very important for people to acknowledge that God is real and that He is the only true and living God.

Hi Pastor Donnell, always a pleasure to connect with you, I sense the passion you have for our Lord and Saviour that really draws me to ask you these answers to these dreams and questions .
I dreamt about a week and a half ago; there were a lot of people well dressed in an open place like a function that of a church affiliation the thing that was amazing though was it was so crowded that people were defacating in the open at a section of the place which was opened. But I was in a wash room sitting on the toilet but when I turned around I saw people sitting down like a church setting and I was looking to get up..Then I heard a voice of my pastor who was going in the other wash room so I said let me be quiet. But I came out and saw her with someone and I am looking at these people not having a place to excrete all in the open and seeing everything and as if one person below her was like a big heap of poop but it was looking gold!!!!! She looked Familiar…I don’t Know what you make of it but I believe that there will be a lot of people especially from the new govt. coming in our sanctuary for deliverance and salvation…….

Charlene, that dream is way out there. However, it sounds like you answered your own question. Based on what you saw and what you believe it means, it makes sense for you to pray about it. When God shows us anything in a dream our responsibility is to pray.
