A Process for Every Promise

A Process for Every Promise

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. - Hebrews 10:36(KJV)

Many people receive a promise from God, then sit around waiting for it to happen. What they don't realize is that they only receive the promise after they have done the Will of God. Obedience, not chronological time, is the controlling factor. Only after obedience is complete, does chronological time become the controlling factor. You can't wait for the promise to manifest before you do God's Will. The countdown clock to the promise doesn't start until after your obedience. Consequently, it's important to evaluate the true circumstances behind any delay in the manifestation of a promise from the Lord. While you might be waiting on God to deliver on His promise, He might be waiting on you to do His Will.

Where are you in the process right now? Perhaps, you are waiting for a Word from The Lord. Maybe you've passed that stage. Perhaps, you already received The Word but have done nothing with it, yet you are waiting for it to come to pass. Maybe you are even further along. Perhaps, you have already carried out God's instructions that are attached to His Word. If that's the case, you are in a good place because now that you've done your part, God's on the clock. Just be patient. When He makes a promise and you go through the process, He delivers on His promise at His appointed time.
