Respect God's Chronological Timing

You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. - Psalm 139:13-16(NLT)

The immeasurable complexity and precision of creation continue to baffle the most advanced scientists. From the precise orbit and rotation of the earth for the sustenance of human life to the mind-boggling electrical impulses in the human brain that translate into thoughts God has established His inventive superiority. His creative genius is beyond our understanding and His attention to detail cannot be understated. He didn’t just create simple beings. He created the most complex ecosystems, then placed the most complex beings within them with the ability to replicate themselves.

This begs the question; If God is so detail-oriented in His approach to the physical makeup of created systems and beings, would He not be similarly detailed about time itself? Before you were born, God laid your life out in His book with daily entries. Even when things appear to be random, they’re not. God operates by a schedule. Remember, He’s the same God who created the heavens and the earth as well as every living creature living within them. He wasn’t random with anything else so why would He be random with the circumstances of your life?

Imagine God has a large control room in heaven with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, multiple switchboards, screens, sensors, and timers. From that room, He monitors the lives of each human being, constantly evaluating them against pre-set sequences of events that He designed. The circumstances He planned for each person fits into His eternal plan for all of mankind. These circumstances also interact in predetermined ways with His plans for all other people.

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. - Romans 8:28(NLT)

As we go through life and make decisions to obey or disobey God’s directions He is constantly adjusting and re-adjusting the controls to ensure that everything works out the right way in the end. Due to His omniscience, He can restore what was lost during seasons of disobedience or ignorance. Not just that, He knows how to place people right back to the place they are supposed to be in His plan at any given time. He doesn’t need to move us back to where we strayed from His Will, He can reconcile our past, stabilize our present and fast forward to the future where we would be, had we done everything right. This is what I refer to later in the book as redeeming our time.
