God’s Kingdom is Everlasting

The Cracked Door is back!
God’s Kingdom is Everlasting

And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. - Matthew 6:13 (NKJV)

Jesus said in John 18:36 that His Kingdom is not of this world. Then Apostle Paul describes the heroes of our faith in Hebrews 11:13 as strangers and pilgrims on this earth and Apostle Peter echoed the sentiment in 1 Peter 2:11. Jesus said in Matthew 16:19-20 not to lay up for yourselves treasures on earth but in heaven. In the same way, Apostle Paul said we should set our minds on things above and not on things on the earth in Colossians 3:2. All throughout the scriptures, we are instructed to stay focused on that which is everlasting, starting first and foremost with the Kingdom of God.

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. - 2 Corinthians 4:17-18(NKJV)

As we bring this chapter to a close, let’s remember that the natural realm is bound by the limits of time. Everything that physically exists has a physical beginning and a physical ending. Nothing physically lasts forever. Afflictions are seasonal, weeping endures for a night and tough times have an expiration date. They exist within the natural realm so at some point in time they must end. Never let what you see distract you from what God is doing in your life because what you see with your natural eyes is temporary. Keep your inner eyes fixed on eternity. There’s an eternal weight of glory awaiting you if you choose to remain faithful to the God of the unseen.
