God Is A Businessman

Today's blog is Part 3 in this blog series on Kingdom Economics. For Part 3 - "Why Kingdom Economics? - Great Wealth Awaits" click here.

Matthew 25:14-15(NKJV) - "For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey.

God runs His Kingdom like a businessman. He is a venture capitalist who invests in entrepreneurs and expects a return after a specific period of time. The talents in today's scripture are not intangible skills or spiritual gifts but sums of money. Here's an excerpt addressing today's scripture passage from The Mysterious Kingdom of Heaven;

It’s important to note that in this illustration, Jesus showed that all of the servants received something. The distribution of the talents was not equal but it was fair because it was directly related to each person’s ability.

What you have in life is a reflection of what you can handle. Because God is described as a businessman, He cares about His return on investment. So consider today all that God has already invested in you. Evaluate what you have to show for it because He will return to ask for a report and won't be playing games.
