Why Kingdom Economics? - Money Gives Us A Voice

Today's blog is Part 2 in this blog series on Kingdom Economics.

WHY KINGDOM ECONOMICS? - MONEY GIVES US A VOICE

Ecclesiastes 9:16(NLT) - So even though wisdom is better than strength, those who are wise will be despised if they are poor. What they say will not be appreciated for long.

In our society, “broke-folk” tend to be ignored! Many intelligent people rather listen to the ignorance of someone who has money than the wisdom of someone who doesn't. Why do so many choose to emulate rich superstars whose personal lives are a complete mess? Two reasons; they are rich and they are superstars! The image of the poor church mouse shuffling off to Sunday service looking for a way of escape from the daily grind provokes absolutely nobody to follow Jesus.

In much the same way, The Church has no voice if The Church has no money. The world won't start paying attention to what we have to say until we force them to listen. They will hear us when we create social programs that impact our neighborhoods. They will hear us when we take struggling single parents feed their families. They will hear us when we take people off the streets and put them in homes. They will hear us when we meet their needs. Why Kingdom Economics? Money gives us a voice.
