Surrender: It's Time To Rely On God's Strength

Surrender: It's Time To Rely On God's Strength

Lord, I can't do this anymore. I'm so tired. I've given it my all and it's still not enough. This fight just won't end. I don't have any strength left. This is too much. If you don't do something right now I don't know... Lord, I don't know what will happen to me. I just... just can't do this anymore. I can't.. I just can't... This is too much..... I'm desperate. I surrender.

Welcome to Part 15 of our blog series on The Power of God. See Part 1, "Unleashing The Power Of God In Your Life" for seven dimensions of God's power described in The New Testament. Today we continue with the fourth dimension of God's power; Ischys which means "ability, force, strength and might" Click here for Part 14, "Ischys - The Strength To Love".

Sometimes, life drops a bomb on you when you least expect it. Everything seems normal then BOOM!

"Noooooooooooooo! What do you mean she died?.... What do you mean you're leaving?... What do you mean you're letting me go?.... Did you just say cancer?... Did I really fail?.... Is that a real gun?.... Are you serious? Is this really happening right now? Is this some kind of bad dream? Is this a joke? No! God No! Please No! Please! This can't be happening. No way."

Ephesians 6:10(KJV) - Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might(Ischys).

When all seems lost and you have no more strength, finally, my brother, finally my sister, be strong in The Lord and in the power of His Ischys. Surrender: It's time to rely on God's strength. This dimension of God's power is available for your struggle. When your back is against a wall and you're up against it, you need God's strength to carry you through. When you're in too deep and you feel stuck, there's some Ischys available to bring you out.

It's Time To Rely On God's Strength

Ephesians 1:19(AMP) - And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty(Ischys) strength,

Only believe! That's all God asks of you. You don't have to be strong. You don't need to have it all together. That's not necessary. Only believe in His love. Only believe in His name. Only believe in His strength. Unlimited power is available for us who believe. God demonstrates that by putting His Ischys strength to work on our behalf whenever we need it. We have to surrender our will and put all of our trust in His ability to save us. Don't resist. He wants to be your Savior so give up fighting for yourself and let Him save you.

Mark 9:23-24(NKJV) - Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”

I know it's much easier said that done but you have to believe. Now is not the time to give up so don't even think about it. Regardless of how you feel, you have to believe. If you can believe, all things are possible. It's alright if you're struggling to believe. Jesus can help you with that. Like the father in Mark 9:24, with tears in your eyes say; "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!" That is your only option.

Psalm 37:23-24(NKJV) - The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the Lord upholds him with His hand.

When you're tired it's alright to collapse into the arms of Jesus. When you fall into His arms you fall into safety so go ahead and fall. Like God told Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, His grace is sufficient for you because His strength is made perfect in weakness. When you are weak, if you would just rely on Him, He will give you an infusion of His strength. He will hold you up with His strong hand.

Philippians 4:13(KJV) - I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

My strength comes from Christ. Why not confess that right now? My strength comes from Christ. Do you believe that? Have you made the decision yet to stop relying on your own strength? I don't know what challenges you're facing today or what's coming tomorrow but I do know this. Surrender: It's time to rely on God's strength.

Luke 14:33(AMP) - So then, any of you who does not forsake (renounce, surrender claim to, give up, say good-bye to) all that he has cannot be My disciple.
